Hubble's very popular photo of the Pillars Of Creation through a 11in Celestron telescope @ F/4. Using a modified 300D: Exp.Time: 6x4min @ ISO800 + 25x3min @ ISO1600 = 1hr:40min. Layered to enhance resolution and reduce noise. More info. at www.astrophoto.bravehost.com

The pictures that you take are absolutely breathtaking. I was always under the impression that these could only be taken with the largest telescopes at special observatories. Where are you to get such a clear skies? Is it realistic for a serious amateur with a telescope to get shots even approaching these? Congratulations.

@Emilio Garcia: Thank you. Small APO scopes or a high quality lens (100mm - 300mm) can produce beautiful night photos if you know where to shot and have the ability to track across the sky. Try photographing a part of the milky way on a tripod for 3-5sec. (low F-Stop, high ISO) you might be surprised!
Amazing sky! The colors are gorgeous!
