M81 & M82 are separated by 150,000 light years. The pair are located approximately 10 degrees northwest of the "Big Dipper". This photo was acquired through a 130mm apo telescope several frames at 4min each, Totaling 6.3 hrs, more detail can be found at robsastrophotos.com.
